I occasionally contribute to open-source projects in my limited free time - although not nearly as much as I’d like. It’s always an enriching experience. I’ve learned a lot from open-source codebases and contributors who have been generous with their time and knowledge. I am thankful for that experience, and I endeavor to use my own time and talent to contribute back.
I try to embody the Boy Scout Rule in my work:
Always leave your campsite cleaner than you found it.
Here are a few examples of my open-source contributions that exemplify my work. This is not an exhaustive list.
- ipcalc
- Git
- Eredis
- Samba
